Catalyst and American Discovery Form Partnership

Catalyst, a company that designs, hosts, and services document repositories for discovery and regulatory compliance, has announced the formation of a strategic alliance with American Discovery, a provider of legal process outsourcing services for managed document review, litigation support, discovery consulting, legal research, and contract management.

By uniting American Discovery’s services with Catalyst’s technology, the companies say, the alliance will provide clients with end-to-end e-discovery integration. American Discovery specializes in helping law firms, corporations, and government organizations find the right technology for their needs and blending that technology with its legal expertise.

The combination of the legal and e-discovery experience of American Discovery’s project managers and review teams, and Catalyst’s platform enables American Discovery to not only deliver a specialized review solution, but also supports American Discovery’s attorneys in becoming fact experts who provide actionable insight into the matter and on whom clients can rely upon as partners as the matter progresses, according to Howard Hoffmann, American Discovery executive director and advisory board member.

Both companies originated out of law firms and continue to employ a number of lawyers as executives, consultants, and service providers. This contributes, they say, to their ability to offer high levels of expertise and understanding in the issues and challenges lawyers face in e-discovery, including the need for high security.
