Xenos: content warrior

Xenos will join forces with IBM to help organizations turn legacy data into Web-ready content. Under the new agreement, Xenos will receive co-marketing funds for its Xenos d2e Platform combined with IBM's ContentManager OnDemand archiving and retrieval software.

Xenos explains that d2e technology transforms data and documents for archiving in ContentManager OnDemand. Output, including IBM AFP and Xerox Metacode, can be re-purposed into formats such as HTML, XML and PDF for presentation on the Web.

The partnership will target large brick-and-mortar companies seeking to leverage an existing legacy application or large volume output stream for Web presentation. Examples include large billers, such as phone companies, credit card providers and utility companies; statement providers, such as financial institutions and investments companies; and document providers, such as healthcare and insurance firms.

The Xenos d2e Platform supports both the data captured and archived into OnDemand, as well as Web conversions to the data that is retrieved from the system. It features a component-based architecture that allows individual software components to be selected to enable customer organizations to transform existing data to Web content.
