Web site ready social media

Platformic has developed a social media creation environment that enables companies to build highly customizable, complex communities to attract and retain Web site visitors and maximize brand interaction. The company says that Web site administrators can easily integrate comprehensive social networking and social media functionality into any Platformic Enterprise Web site without requiring code, ftp, manual style sheets or JavaScript.

Platformic reports that SocialSite Social Media Platform allows administrators to easily implement the following Web site features, enabling visitors to:

  • create their own user profiles with customizable elements, including the ability to upload their own avatars or use defaults provided by the organization;
  • send friends invitations via e-mail and interact with other members;
  • make profile access public or restricted to friends only;
  • post to any number of social media-focused sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Delicious and others;
  • comment on information on the Web site, rate and/or recommend other comments on the sites (feedback can be tied back to the visitor’s profile);
  • post pictures and user-generated content (UGC) in AVI, MOV, WMV, MPEG/MPG and other formats;
  • set up a personal photo gallery or post pictures to category-specific galleries created by SocialSite administrators;
  • post blogs and articles of interest pertinent to content on the site; and
  • sign up for and correspond with others in forums set up by the organization.
