Web search hits the BullsEye

Organizing, analyzing and tailoring Web searches is the premise behind the newly released Version 1.5 of IntelliSeek's BullsEye.

BullsEye allows the user -- primarily consultants, PR people, marketing, R&D and other professionals who need refined information gathered from the Web -- the power of more than 450 online search engines and databases, all from one entry point, according to IntelliSeek.

A key component is provided by Verity's knowledge retrieval solution, which rates the search findings and helps weedout deadhits and duplicates.

BullsEye, an agent-based system, helps to reduce search times by allowing use of intelligent agents such as Software Finder, Business Finder and FAQ Finder.

An enhanced version of the product, BullsEye Pro is compatible with E-mail systems, so users can choose to receive updates to searches they have previously conducted. With Pro, a user can choose to keep a search active, where the software will continuously monitor for suitable updates off the Web and push those to users.

Said IntelliSeek President and CEO Mahendra Vora, "No one has the time or energy to learn about and use multiple search engines, remove duplicate hits, track down unavailable pages and organize all this meaningless data into a meaningful format."

BullsEye Version 1.5 starts at $49, with BullsEye Pro, targeted at information researchers and corporate knowledge professionals, at $149
