Visual KM for org charts

In its new Web-based application, TimeVision claims to transform data into strategic information via its intranet-based organizational-charting features, simple-language querying and XML connectivity.

The company explains that OrgPublisher for Intranet 4 uses existing data to automatically generate graphical representations of a company in an organizational chart published to an intranet. Data can be accessed from virtually any database, TimeVision says, including IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft. Users can view org charts, access on-line employee directories, review employee profiles and explore "open position" opportunities, the company says.

OrgPublisher 4 adds XML connectivity and continues to integrate with ODBC-compliant databases and LDAP-compliant directory servers. It can also automatically generate organizational charts and publish to the Internet or corporate intranets using any data source, from text files to ERP systems.
