VDK Frozen Foods Hooks Logility Solution
VDK Frozen Foods (formerly Van de Kamps), a $450 million St. Louis-based food processor, has selected Logility's (Atlanta) Value Chain Solution suite to help streamline its supply chain management activities. VDK is using Logility's Manufacturing Planning module for optimizing capacity plans and production schedules, and the Inventory Planning module for creating rules-based policies and industry best practices. A Replenishment Planning module will help enable continuous replenishment policies with constraint-based, time-phased plans; a Transportation module will help build optimal shipping plans. VDK is also implementing Logility's WarehousePRO and Internet-based Demand and Supply Chain Voyager products. "Logility offered the fastest implementation time, which translates into a quick return on our investment," said Rick Mager, Director of Distribution and Planning for VDK Frozen Foods.
