USI shows Q1 growth

Universal Systems (USI, Chantilly, VA, http://www.usiva.com

) reports $19.0 million in revenue for Q1 '97, a 36% increase in revenue over the $14.0 million generated in Q1 '96. Net income increased to $2.5 million in Q1 '97, up from $1.1 million in Q1 '96. USI, a vendor of workflow, has sold over 80,000 packages within the federal government. USI presently has a contract with the Naval Air Warfare Center worth $20 million. Also, a Blanket Purchase Agreement was signed with the Veterans' Administration for $100 million.
