Tsuchiya is new Verbatim VP

Verbatim (Charlotte, NC, http://www.verbatimcorp.com

) has appointed Jun Tsuchiya VP of Americas sales and marketing. Tsuchiya takes responsibility for U.S. and Canadian sales through wholesale and distributor channels as well as certain key accounts. He will also supervise Verbatim's Americas marketing group located in Charlotte.

Verbatim is a leading market developer of optical storage media and floppy disks, as well as computer back-up tapes, imaging products and CD-ROMs. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical (Tokyo).

With the addition of Tsuchiya, all of Mitsubishi Chemical America, Information Storage Division's optical media, hardware and systems operations will be transferred to Verbatim. All MCA employees working in the division will become Verbatim employees, continuing to work out of Sunnyvale, CA. Prior to the new appointment, Tsuchiya was general manager of Mitsubishi Chemical America, Information Storage Division.
