Toyota streamlines operations with imaging

In an effort to move to a less paper-intensive environment, Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC) is converting millions of active loan and lease files into digital images.

Over the next twelve months IKON Business Imaging Services will process and consolidate over 30 million collateral paper documents from TMCC's thirty-three branch locations, including credit applications, contracts, and vehicle titles. The remaining 8 million pages will then be indexed and stored electronically in a document management system from FileNet and Deloitte & Touche.

The plan is part of TMCC's overall plan to move the corporation to a less paper-intensive environment, according to TMCC project manager Robert Christian
