Thomson acquires LiveNote

The Thomson Corp. has acquired LiveNote Technologies, a provider of transcript and evidence management software to litigators and court reporters. LiveNote will be aligned with Thomson West and will add further value to its suite of litigation solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Thomson says LiveNote and Westlaw Litigator are the building blocks in West's strategy to launch an integrated litigation platform, which will be designed to provide a comprehensive set of content, tools and functionality, combining legal content, case-specific facts and litigation workflow applications.
