TSC reports increased Q1 '98 net income and revenues

Technology Solutions Company (Chicago, http://www.techsol.com, Nasdaq: TSCC) has announced Q1 '98 financial results. Revenue of $60.4 million represents an 88% increase from Q1 '97. Net income of $4 million compares with a net income of $2.1 million in Q1 '97. The collaboration of multiple TSC business units comprised 48% of the company's project revenue. US-based revenues were up 79% from Q1 '97 to $51.2 million, comprising roughly 82% of total revenues. During the quarter TSC acquired The Bentley Company (http://www.bentleyco.com), a Boston-based consultancy, and formed a strategic alliance with Mosaix (Alameda, CA, http://www.mosaix.com) to create and co-market enterprise customer management (ECM) solutions. TSC president and CEO John Kohler notes that increasing demand for U.S.-based integration services contributed to the company's revenue growth.
