Storage Dimensions Introduces AIT Array

Storage Dimensions (Milpitas, CA) has unveiled the SuperFlex AIT tape array which uses Sony

's AIT technology. Billed as an alternative to DLT and DDS-3 backup systems, the SuperFlex system combines AIT drives with a 350 GB tape backup solution for Windows NT, NetWare, Solaris, HP-UX, and AIX. SuperFlex can be configured with multiple RAID options, including Computer Associates's ARCserve RAID system. SuperFlex is available for $19,420 configured with four tape drive modules, or $31,898 configured with seven drives.
