Star Technologies acquires Curran Data

In its second acquisition move in three months, Star Technologies (Sterling, VA,

http://www.star.com) has acquired Curran Data Technologies (CDT), an Indianapolis-based, $2.3 million data entry services company. CDT offers data entry, forms processing, document imaging, scanning and archival storage and retrieval services, and since 1988 has processed state income tax returns for the Indiana Department of Revenue. The acquisition of CDT's services, on the heels of an August deal for Intrafed's PowerScan and StageWorks capture and processing software, gives Star customers an option for data capture services. "Our goal is to offer customers total data capture imaging solutions," says company president Robert Compton, whether they want to outsource through CDT or configure the systems themselves with PowerScan and StageWorks software.
