Spacelabs to Integrate Optika FilePower with Intesys

Spacelabs (Redmond, WA) will integrate Optika's (Colorado Springs, CO) FilePower suite with its Intesys healthcare information system. Optika's document imaging, workflow and COLD technology will integrated into Spacelabs' Caremaster system for the documentation of clinical care. The document imaging and COLD technology will allow for less structured information like bulk computer output to be captured and viewed on a single system. "The capabilities that Optika brings to our product line are significant," said Roy Hays, VP of Intesys Product Development for Spacelabs. "The integration will help healthcare enterprises move closer to the goal of a totally electronic patient record." "This partnership will enable healthcare organizations to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase productivity throughout their enterprises," added Optika chairman, president and CEO Mark Ruport.
