SoftScape Offers New Version of QuickFind
Softscape (Wayland, MA) has introduced the latest version of its QuickFind file viewing software. QuickFind is a utility for file viewing, conversion, searching and information sharing on the network, PC or the Internet. With the new version, users will be able to find, view, convert, copy, and print fully formatted files from over 225 file formats without needing the original application. The new version, QuickFind '98, adds support for Microsoft Word 97 and Excel 97, Lotus 1-2-3 97, Freelance 97, and Netscape Navigator plug-ins, including Adobe Acrobat, Apple Quicktime, AVI Player, Corel CMX, Shockwave Director, and Softsource DWG. It also offers direct integration with Eudora, Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows 95 and NT Version 4.0. "Softscape has solved the enterprise standard for finding, viewing and converting policies and procedures," said John Buck, VP of the Department of Veteran's Affairs which uses QuickFind to distribute legacy files to 6,000 users. QuickFind '98 is available immediately at a single user list price of $49; upgrades are available for $29.
