Salient Introduces Margin Minder Max 3.0

Salient Corp. has released Margin Minder Max 3.0, what is described as a complete application for integrated enterprise performance management in complex, high-volume businesses and government.

The company says Margin Minder Max maintains a highly granular accounting of profit and loss, growth and efficiency--from the whole enterprise to the individual product, customer, supplier, asset or event--and allows managers to understand quickly and precisely how discrete business activities affect corporate results.

Version 3.0 extracts and organizes data from various enterprise sources--including daily business transactions and external customer and partner information--to be used by managers to better understand what drives profits. The company claims that with its near real-time, point-and-click capabilities, the application eliminates the need for more time-consuming information management processes such as paper reports, computer-generated reports and OLAP systems.

Margin Minder tracks the profitability, growth and efficiency of anything within a corporation, including supply and demand chains; internal operations such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, administration and service; and individual products, customers, suppliers, associates, assets and events. By utilizing this information, managers can immediately and interactively investigate and monitor value contribution, obtain maximum information for every decision and continuously improve practices and processes. Enhancements in Margin Minder Max 3.0 include:

  • improved ability to compare growth and sales between new and existing accounts, and between weeks, months or any other measurement of time;

  • a new color-coded dashboard provides easier identification of areas of growth or decline;

  • improved supply chain management functionality;

  • easier personalization capabilities;

  • greater flexibility for charts and graphs;

  • point-and-click capabilities to view dimensions of data sets;

  • improved calendaring and communications capabilities;

  • simplified user setup functionality; and

  • improved naming capabilities for data sets.
