Salesforce.com goes K-Bus

To allow users to instantly locate, view and connect enterprise content relevant to a salesforce.com record, the CRM firm, and Entopia, which calls itself an enterprise knowledge infrastructure provider, have partnered to extend CRM service. Entopia used its standard development tools, combined with the Web services provided by salesforce.com, to rapidly integrate its K-Bus Knowledge Locator.

Entopia explains that its K-Bus Knowledge Locator enables instant retrieval of enterprise content that is closely related to the salesforce.com record by locating content, people and information sources across the entire enterprise and presenting them in a single, unified view for easy access. The software, called K-Force, is comprised of two components: K-Force Knowledge Locator and K-Bus Salesforce.com Connector. The first allows salesforce.com users to automatically see enterprise content highly relevant to the salesforce.com account, contact, opportunity, lead or case with which they are working. The second allows any user of the Entopia K-Bus Knowledge Locator from outside of salesforce.com to connect with content in the salesforce.com repository along with content in other enterprise repositories.
