Qumu unveils video integrations with IBM

Business video platform provider Qumu has launched integrations with IBM’s enterprise content management (ECM) platform, adding to its portfolio of IBM-related capabilities.

Qumu explains it provides integration with FileNet Content Manager and Content Navigator on several levels. By seamlessly integrating Qumu’s Video Control Center (VCC) platform with FileNet Content Manager and Content Navigator, users are able to create, upload and store video to their content store with approved metadata and organizational structures, taking advantage of encoding and transcoding capabilities for video processing. The integration also allows for publishing of videos from FileNet Content Manager to the VCC to make viewing and browsing videos easier. Users can also take advantage of the Qumu player’s speech search within the context of Content Navigator, enabling them to search for spoken words inside individual videos and across libraries of videos to find information faster and more easily than ever before.

IBM says its Content Navigator provides a robust user experience for working with managed content of any type that includes teamspaces and workflows for working with active content. The Qumu integration with IBM’s ECM platform also enables enterprises to properly manage video content as part of their broader information governance initiatives. Qumu provides a wide array of video tools to help ECM and Content Navigator users securely create, share and discover information faster and better.
