Procom Takes Wrap off RAID Products

Procom (Irvine, CA) has introduced the Reliant 1000 line of RAID systems. The family offers fault-tolerant, modular, scalable storage from 90 GB up to multiple terabytes. Reliant 1000 features the latest fibre channel interface for high-speed networks, a scalable modular design, and management software via SCSI, RS-232 or Ethernet ports. The management software offers multiple-level RAID configurations, controller and drive hot-swap, disaster recovery, cache management, event logging and reconstruction processing and tuning. The Reliant line will help Procom to continue its product mix shift towards higher-end, higher-margin network storage products, according to Procom CEO Alex Razmjoo.
