Power to the portal

A customized service offering for large enterprises, the Sales and Marketing Portal from Primix Solutions has been designed to increase revenue by shortening the sales cycle and to improve sales force efficiency by delivering relevant customer and competitive information to the sales and marketing team.

Whenever possible, the solution is integrated with existing infrastructure, says Bill Champitto, director of knowledge management at Primix. “Our strategy is not to build anything that we don’t need to build,” he says, adding, “as long as its intelligent to do so, we want our customers to leverage investments that have already been made. We take a look at their current infrastructure and identify its value, if it’s appropriate and if it will scale.”

The offering includes:

  • a portal platform to present relevant information and documents;

  • knowledge mapping architecture to maximize the effectiveness of locating information; and

  • and content management generating, storing and publishing information.

    The portal combines field sales functions, such as product information, sales collateral and competitive intelligence, with sales management and marketing activities through a single interface, eliminating redundant and possibly conflicting sites, according to Champitto.
