Peregrine releases TrustedLink for Unix and NT

TrustedLink e-Version 5, the lastest edition of infrastructure management software from Peregrine Systems enables IT, purchasing and financial executives to lower procurement costs and improve operating efficiency across the enterprise by streamlining, automating and integrating business processes. Within the organization, the software links intra-company applications, such as ERP applications and Infrastructure Management applications, to the life cycle of e-Business transactions.

On an inter-company basis, TrustedLink communicates mission-critical e-Business transactions out to suppliers, distributors and customers. The new software release allows companies to rapidly implement and expand their B2B programs, even with businesses that are not e-commerce enabled, using human-readable XML forms.

Version 5 also allows customers to gain access to an array of convenient online customer care and support services. The application's new Internet-based customer support features include access to Web-based transaction tracking, confirmation and data mining, secure Internet connectivity, 24/7 online customer care, downloadable software upgrades and enhancements, and access to more than 54,000 pages of B2B resource information.

Peregrine already has more than half of its 44,000-plus customers using the company's Internet-enabled technologies for B2B, with more than 6,000 customers having added XML to their trading capabilities.

The software is offered as a customer-licensed application, on a subscription basis through Peregrine Systems hosted ASP and on an outsourcing basis.
