Paradise for polyglots

Interwoven and Uniscape have teamed up to speed e-business globalization. The goal will be to combine Interwoven’s content management expertise with the Uniscape Globalization Infrastructure, a solution they claim will expand customers’ e-businesses to the 50% of Web users who do not speak English as a native language.

Uniscape says it has completed the integration of its globalization platform with Interwoven TeamSite Web content management system, enabling TeamSite users to localize and manage multilingual content for global Web sites. The company adds that with Uniscape's infrastructure, companies can manage the globally distributed localization process, taking advantage oftranslation memory technology, workflow, glossaries of commonly used terms and an open network of independent translation vendors.

The companies report the integration between TeamSite and Uniscape will enable owners of multilingual Web sites to translate and localize content through Uniscape's ASP-based localization platform. Benefits to Interwoven customers will include faster time-to-market for multilingual Web sites, easier management of changes for multiple language sites, consistent brand image worldwide and cost savings from a more efficient globalization solution.
