Open Sesame and Verity Open Doors to Personalized Software

A new agreement between Open Sesame (Cambridge, MA) and Verity (Sunnyvale, CA) adds search and retrieval capabilities to Open Sesame's personalized software for online businesses . Open Sesame's Learn Sesame builds profiles of individual customers by learning the interests and tastes of its users' browsing behavior at a particular Web site. The profile information is exchanged with Verity's applications to deliver relevant information to the individual user based on their profile. The combined product will allow businesses and customers to locate relevant information more effectively, and also gives them the ability to find other users with similar profiles and interests to better enable knowledge sharing. "The complement of Open Sesame's personalization technology with our search and retrieval products will provide our customers with an even more sophisticated, well-rounded, knowledge retrieval solution", said Verity VP Ron Weissman. Open Sesame president Alper Caglayan adds that the combined offering creates "a robust, scalable solution for true one-to-one applications." Pricing for Learn Sesame starts at $29,995 for a single server implementation.
