Factiva has introduced a new Web-based knowledge management platform for Andersen employees and selected customers.

Developed by Andersen and Factiva Consulting, Business Radar (a registered trademark of Andersen) is a personal news portal that uses Factiva Intelligent Indexing to provide targeted content based on specific user needs. Business Radar, a registered trademark of Andersen, features access to more than 1,100 sources in 11 different languages.

Factiva Intelligent Indexing is a categorization scheme that applies industry, region, news topic and company codes across the Factiva content set in multiple languages and various document types including articles, Web content, Adobe PDFs and pictures. Factiva also has a comprehensive company indexing scheme with more than 300,000 listed and unlisted company codes. FactiIntelligent Indexing can also be applied to internal content as well as third-party content to integrate all types of internal information .
