New product development buzz

With the goal of creating a complete online product development platform, Sopheon and iVenturi will collaborate to develop components of the iVenturi Web-based work system. iVenturi will integrate Sopheon's Accolade software as a central element of its new Web-based product development solution.

Accolade is offline software that automates the Stage-Gate new product development system, which is re[prtedly used by an estimated 60% of technology-driven companies in North America. Sopheon will continue to independently market Accolade to prospects and clients as part of its knowledge management solutions.

iVenturi's work system will be available for a monthly subscription fee, of which Sopheon will receive a percentage in return for the inclusion of Accolade in the iVenturi system. Sopheon will also be able to provide other services and products related to new product development through iVenturi's worksystem. iVenturi will pay Sopheon a license fee of $500,000 for its integration of Sopheon software.
