Network Imaging and Xenos to offer PDF conversion

Network Imaging (Herndon, VA) and The Xenos Group (Richmond Hill, Ontario), a VAR of output management technology, will join forces to offer output management services for the
Adobe (San Jose) PDF format. Network Imaging's 1View: COLD will be combined with Xenos' GenText software to convert data from Xerox (Rochester, NY) Metacode and IBM (Armonk, NY) AFP print streams into Adobe Acrobat PDF files. Also, Network Imaging's 1View:Object Manager will be joined with Xenos' Documorph solution, which will allow mainframe-generated AFP or Metacode documents to be transformed into PDF documents, and made available via the Internet, intranet or E-mail. The combined offerings are targeted at the insurance and financial services industries, where the fidelity, operational integrity and performance of documents are absolute business requirements. "Our customers need to manage terabytes of data, accessible by very high numbers of end users," said Marian Lewandowski, senior VP of The Xenos Group. What Network Imaging brings to the table, she said, is the storage and distribution of large volumes of unstructured information. The combination will result in "industry-leading integrated solutions for enterprise applications of PDF," said Network Imaging senior VP Brian Hajost.
