Netscape and Sybase Ink Agreement

Netscape (Mountain View, CA) and Sybase (Emeryville, CA) have entered into an agreement to combine Netscape's Application Server Version 2.0 technology with Sybase's new PowerSite Web development environment. The agreement will allow customers to quickly build transactive Web applications on corporate intranets or extranets, or on the Internet. The combination of the two technologies creates a rich and highly productive environment for companies looking to build enterprise class transactive applications, according to Netscape VP and GM Keng Lim. Sybase VP Bob Zurek calls it a "powerful and winning combination."
