NetVoyage Unveils Technology for Document Collaboration

NetVoyage (Orem, UT), a new company headed by the founders of early document management pioneer SoftSolutions (now owned by Novell

), has unveiled a new technology for document collaboration over the Internet. NetEnvelope allows users to group, secure, share and synchronize documents over the Internet, as well as notifying users of changes. NetEnvelope acts like an electronic "envelope" to keep business-to-business document sharing and collaboration secure, private and synchronized over the Internet. "NetEnvelope blends the best traits of a local area network, E-mail, and the Internet into an extremely powerful, efficiency-boosting tool," according to Nielsen & Senior, a Salt Lake City-based law firm. While the system was originally designed for the legal market, "we're finding interest pretty much wherever there are geographically remote offices or heavy document traffic between sites," said Leonard Johnson, VP of Marketing. "We have beta users from all over the map, education to government to university researchers." A five-user pack of NetEnvelope technology sells for $395. Ten, 25 and 50 user packs are also available.
