Natural language search and categorization

As effective knowledge retrieval becomes even more mission critical, searching, indexing, alerting, structuring, rule building and rule editing become required components of knowledge software. Bright Station says that’s exactly why Smartlogik was developed. Deployable either alone, as part of an application or within wide systems-integration projects, the suite is said to be scalable to thousands of users.

Smartlogik is an open-code, transparent and fully configurable system that can integrate data from a variety of sources, such as the Web, commercial services or databases. The Smartlogik interface can be customized to market, corporate and even departmental terminology.

The search feature employs probabilistic methods to match concepts and ideas to ensure accurate results for exact matches and looks for groups of terms that together infer concepts. For example, searching for "discovery" will also return discoverer and discovering. Bright Station says Smartlogik’s indexing component differs from spidering technology and results in information being categorized to a common and consistent standard.

The interface can be customized to match market, corporate, even departmental terminology. Integrate data from a variety of diverse sources, such as the Web, commercial services or databases.
