NCR and Overland Data sign DLT agreement

) and Overland Data (San Diego, CA, http://www.overlanddata.com) have signed an agreement to incorporate Overland Data’s LibraryXpress LXB tape library into NCR’s storage solutions product line. The product, to be resold as the NCR 6404, will be targeted for entry-level to mid-range storage environments as well as NCR’s entry-level and enterprise servers. "With Overland Data we have a proven leader in DLT technology as our partner," said Mike Denny, NCR VP of product marketing. Added Overland Data CEO Scott McClendon: "This is a genuine example of a win-win-win relationship for NCR, for Overland Data, and -- most importantly -- for customers."
