MatrixOne and Cimmetry partner

MatrixOne and Cimmetry Systems have announced a new OEM agreement whereby MatrixOne will provide Cimmetry's visualization and collaboration capabilities to its customers through its core collaboration platform, eMatrix.

MatrixOne, which delivers product collaboration solutions for the value chain, will offer AutoVue from Cimmetry, which provides visualization and collaboration solutions for the A/E/C, Engineering, Manufacturing and Electronics markets, as a means of offering customers and their supply chains access to Web-based, real-time, visual collaboration early in the design phase to improve engineering products and processes.

MatrixOne reports it will deliver AutoVue as the visualization solution for eMatrix and the Value Chain Portfolio of applications, including MatrixOne Supplier Central, MatrixOne Engineering Central, MatrixOne DocuManagement Central and MatrixOne Team Central. The company explains its thin-client architecture with no client-side install and streaming technology allows users to view and markup over 200 2-D/3-D CAD, raster, vector, hybrid and office document formats directly from within a Web browser. Formats include CATIA, Pro/E, Unigraphics, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, JT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HPGL, Gerber, PDF, TIFF and MS Office.
