Massively multilingual

Inxight and Empolis have agreed to co-develop, license and market products designed to bring order to the huge volumes of internal and external textual data in global enterprises.

The companies report the alliance was initiated through the development of a multilingual system that integrates the Inxight LinguistX Platform, natural language text-analysis and information-retrieval software that analyzes words, phrases and sentences, with Orenge, Empolis’ search and assistance technology. Inxight and Empolis say the system sifts through enormous amounts of raw data to retrieve useful information so that users can find precise results.

Empolis will embed Inxight’s visualization technology with its own solution so business can assess how various data relates. The companies say this combination will allow customers to, for example, develop a system that tracks information regarding competitors, such as where their products are being sold and the names of partners, customers, employees and shareholders.
