Powered by its MediaBin Asset Server 4.5 digital asset management software, Interwoven’s Marketing Content Management (MCM) solution is said to enable companies to speed time-to-market, increase brand equity and improve marketing efficiency.
Interwoven says its new offering accelerates the process of developing, finding, repurposing, storing and distributing rich media assets across all media and all constituencies, including outside agencies, employees, partners and channels. By delivering brand-correct, up-to-date marketing content to the sales channel more rapidly, the Interwoven solution is claimed to reduce time to market and expedite sales to increase top-line revenues.
Interwoven says its MCM solution offers expanded functionality and ease of use for marketing organizations, including:
Mac OS X Client—Version 4.5 takes full advantage of the Mac user interface capabilities, such as "drag & drop" operations when working with multiple assets.
MediaBin Syndication Manager—For larger enterprises with multiple product lines, brands and geographically dispersed business units, this feature offers the ability to connect multiple MediaBin workgroup servers both inside and outside the organization in a single environment, providing a centralized view of marketing content that is developed in different business units throughout the enterprise.
Metadata enhancements—V 4.5 provides enhanced support for Unicode international character sets and Adobe XMP (eXtensible Metadata Platform), increased efficiency and flexibility for metadata handling includes integration with MetaTagger, greater ease of use and increased scalability of performance in high-volume applications.
Greater use of SOA—Both MediaBin Syndication Manager and the Mac OS X Client interact with MediaBin Asset Server 4.5 via Web services.
Greater user adoption—MediaBin’s user interface has been further refined to make the user experience more intuitive and productive, including advanced search and download options.
