MDI Introduces New CD-ROM Towers

Micro Design International (MDI, Winter Park, FL) has unveiled a new line of 32x MultiRead CD-ROM storage solutions. The products are available as stand-alone, towers, double towers, cabinets and racks for customized storage and access. They offer 85ms access speeds and 20 MB per second data transfer rates. The products come with MDI's SCSI Express software interface. The products will begin shipping in March, with several options available. An internal version is available starting at $330, with either 8-drive and 16-drive double towers. Cabinets range from $25,695 to $53,995. The SCSI Express software, available for Windows NT and NetWare environments, ranges in price from $595 to $5,495.
