Legato Introduces Data Backup Product for Informix Servers

A backup and recovery solution for Informix's (Menlo Park, CA) Dynamic server has been released by

Legato Systems (Palo Alto, CA). The NetWorker BusinessSuite Module for Informix offers online database and application data protection for the Informix server with full and incremental backups, tape library support, and "lights out" operation with built in scheduling and tape autochanger support. "Informix is pleased that Legato has taken a leadership role in offering a high-end backup and recovery solution for our customers," said Brett Bachmen, VP of Informix's Enterprise Products division. The system is priced at $5,000 per Informix server.
