Knowledge summit at Empower ’97

Empower ’97, the annual three-day summit for practitioners of document-based information and knowledge management, will be held September 3 through 5 at the Tremont House Hotel, Boston, MA.

Hosted by the Delphi Group (Boston, MA, http://www.delphigroup.com), the presentations at Empower ’97 will emphasize the advanced and complex technology and the cultural issues that organizations face as they move beyond “pilot” implementations into enterprise knowledge management environments.

Joining Delphi as co-sponsors are GIGA Information Group, Xplor International, IW, and Intranet Design Magazine.

Sessions will feature experienced users, who have successfully and not-so-successfully implemented enterprise document-based information systems, and industry analysts. If previous conferences are any indication, the organizers expect Empower ’97 to offer substantial opportunities to learn from both the formal sessions as well as the “networking” among peers and experts.

Speakers include: Delphi’s Thomas Koulopolous and Carl Frappaolo; Keith Davidson, president of Xplor International; Connie Moore, VP GIGA Information Group; Gordon Bennett, editor-in-chief of Intranet Design Magazine; Andy Moore, editor-in-chief of IW and representatives of such corporate organizations as Fidelity Investment, Mobil Oil, Chase Manhattan Bank, Sallie Mae, Detroit Edison; BankBoston and others.

Registration information is at 800-575-3367 and Delphi’s Web site—www.delphigroup.com. The Delphi Group is at 100 City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA 02108.
