It had to be you

In a move aimed at capitalizing on anticipated expanded demand for customer relationship management solutions, J.D. Edwards reports it will acquire YouCentric, a privately held vendor of Java-based applications for sales force automation, campaign management, contact center management and partner relationship management.

In addition to traditional CRM capabilities, the J.D. Edwards collaborative commerce offering combines enterprise resource planning, advance planning and scheduling and supplier relationship management, enabling enterprises to manage their business relationships from the supply chain customer services, says the company.

When the product suites are integrated, the joint solution will be available on UNIX, Windows NT and IBM OS/400 as well as through the Web, a disconnected client and multiple wireless portable devices.

The companies say the consolidation of their applications is expected to proceed rapidly, based on complementary technology architectures.
