Input Software posts big revenue gains
Input Software (Nasdaq: CRNR) reports financial results for Q2 '98, its first independently operating quarter since splitting from Cornerstone Display Technology. Revenue is up 40% from Q2 '97 at $4.2 million. Net income of $219,000 compares with Q2 '97 net income of $86,000 and Q1 '98 net income of $35,000. Gross margin for Q2 98 was 91%, compared with 94% in Q2 97 and 87% in Q1 98. During the quarter Input Software released InputCapture Version 2.0 , signed an agreement to include its capture software in Documentum's EDMS 98 document management system. The company also signed 16 new customers, including the Central Pension Fund, Missouri Secretary of State, and Searle Pharmaceuticals, and repurchased $4.3 million worth of its stock.
