Imagination Software partners with Xerox

) is offering support for Xerox's (Rochester, NY, http://www.xerox.com) TextBridge 32-bit OCR engine using Imagine ActiveX controls. The engine translates scanned or faxed images, allows users to perform OCR on multiple zones of an image and to set different thresholds. Imagine ActiveX, offspring of the Maryland company, supports image display, print, fax, Internet fax, annotations, scan, OCR/ICR, mark sense, barcode recognition and forms processing."The strategic partnership between Imagination Software and Xerox enables us to meet the needs of many developers who require an ActiveX or VBX version of our OCR engine," says Wayne Crandall, VP of sales for Xerox DDS software.
