IBM's FlowMark on the Rhine

German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom has purchased 1600 licenses of IBM's (White Plains, NY, http://www.ibm.com) workflow management software product, FlowMark, to enhance its customer management application. Deutsche Telekom will use the software to control workflow, order status and customer relations information in a networked environment.

According to Juergen Wimber, project manager at Deutsche Telekom, the FlowMark product was selected based on its availability on multiple platforms--specifically Windows NT and HP-UX, its compliance with the workflow management coalition (WFMC) standards and its object-oriented approach
