IBM clients to use Unisys systems

Several banks already using IBM's (Armonk, NY) technology will now use image processing systems from

Unisys (Blue Bell, PA). Unisys' SortLogic image check processing systems will be installed at National Bank of Commerce, First Data Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. The system allows any Unisys NDP transport to function as an IBM 3890 plug- compatible transport, while adding MICR read rates, grayscale and bi-tonal imaging technology. In the end, the SortLogic systems will cost approximately 50 percent less than similarly configured IBM 3890 systems.
