IA Corporation unveils item processing software

IA Corporation (Emeryville, CA) has unveiled an item processing application for its CheckVision Archive product. The Exception Item Processing application allows banks to sort and send check and item images through the organization; exception files can be transmitted to the appropriate worker and data corrections or payment decisions returned online. Items can be reconciled and coded by exception category; batches of items are grouped electronically into categories, such as signature verification, overdraft, stop payment or unposted items. Benefits include minimized write-offs, lower sorter maintenance, reduced errors and overtime and a balanced workload through the organization. By using the new item processing application, according to IA VP of marketing Thierry Leger, "overall productivity is increased, bank operation costs lowered and customer service improved."
