I. Levy and Unisys help medical supplier navigate receivables

John Pincura, MIS director of Wright & Filippis (Marquette MI), a medical supplies manufacturer, needed to find an EDMS solution for his company's accounts receivable department. He has turned to software developer

I. Levy & Associates (St. Louis, http://www.ilevy.com).

In partnership with DIIME exhibitor Unisys (Blue Bell, PA, http://www.unisys.com), I. Levy recently completed the installation of its Navigator 2000 EDMS system at Wright & Filippis. With the company scanning nearly 45,000 document pages per month, two years of storage would be approximately 1 million pages. Documents handled by AR personnel include invoices, prescriptions, verification forms, insurance statements and checks.

Prior to the system installation, a typical customer inquiry at Wright & Filippis often became a time-consuming paper chase for the AR clerk. With Navigator 2000, the potential to lose or misfile documents is reduced because retrieving, copying, faxing and refiling documents are eliminated.
