Plumtree has introduced its Analytics Server, a new product that delivers real-time reporting on portal activity and content usage. Designed for administrators, the offering is said to effectively assess how portal applications and information are being used across the enterprise.

By tracking community traffic, portlet traffic, response times and usage behavior, Plumtree says companies gain improved visibility for their portal development and deployment planning, and can more effectively prioritize administrative resources. Further, the company claims, customers can increase portal ROI, reduce infrastructure costs and improve employee, customer and partner satisfaction.

Plumtree Analytics Server uses lightweight, plug-in filters at multiple tiers of the portal architecture to report information to the server’s database in real time, resulting in deeper, more accurate and instant system activity information, the company says.
