Gentia shakes up management in

Citing a need for "dramatic change and fresh ideas" following several disappointing financial quarters, Gentia Software has tabbed Steve Fluin as CEO, replacing Paul Rolph. Fluin will continue his duties as Gentia's worldwide sales operations director; Rolph will remain chairman of Gentia's board of directors.

According to Rolph, Fluin is "the driving force behind the reorganization of our sales force," and was instrumental in signing new partnerships with Hewlett-Packard and Arthur Andersen.

Before joining Gentia four months ago, Fluin rebuilt Retek Information Systems's European operations from the ground up, quadrupling revenues in two years.
