Fuji scanners to include PowerScan software

Fuji Photo Film (Elmsford, NY, http://www.fujifilm.com) has agreed to incorporate PowerScan's (Potomac, MD, http://www.intrafed.com) capture software with its M-Drive line of digital microfilm scanners. Specifically, Fuji will use PowerScan software scanner drivers and StageWorks post-scan processing software to handle batch conversion of image data. The M-Drive and PowerScan batch scanning application digitizes approximately 32 frame/images a minute at resolutions of up to 1,000 dpi. The combined solution "is a fully developed microfilm scanning station with hardware, software and a robust set of post-scan component processes that any user should require," according to Fuji VP and GM Kenneth Kopald. Both companies will display the combined product at ARMA '97 (http://www.arma.org/hq/chiinfo) October 20-22 in Chicago.
