Enigma takes off with a boost from Rolls-Royce

Enigma, Inc. has received more than $5 million in orders for software and services from Rolls-Royce plc of Derby, England.

With 1997 revenues of more than £4 Billion, Rolls-Royce provides products and services to commercial and military customers in propulsion, electrical power and materials handling markets around the world.

"Rolls-Royce first began working with Enigma in 1996, as part of their initiative to reduce costs and improve information delivery within the technical publications and customer support departments," said Nathan Suchami, vice president of aerospace business development at Enigma, Inc. "Additionally, it was critical from a support standpoint that customers have access to this data across multiple platforms."

"With Enigma's knowledge management tool, Xtend, the Rolls-Royce customer and supplier base can seamlessly add their own data to maintenance, training and support publications, effectively repurposing and customizing the electronic publications," continued Suchami. "This ability to manage the product support information chain enables Rolls-Royce's customers to work in a paperless environment, that includes their originated changes (COCs) integrated with Rolls-Royce original maintenance data."
