Enhanced document workflow with NSi’s AutoStore 6.0

Notable Solutions Inc. (NSi) has released AutoStore 6.0, which it describes as a significant upgrade of its flagship product and includes two new products, WebCapture and Smarticket.

NSi WebCapture lets customers use the AutoStore workflows to move electronic documents from within a Web browser, giving customers wider access to their business applications, says NSi. Smarticket facilitates the automation of repetitive paper-based tasks. The company explains that through a browser, managers can define workflows for documents to travel via a simple wizard interface. Knowledge workers then use a resulting “coversheet” to automatically route documents. The Smarticket coversheet contains the required information to successfully deliver business documents to appropriate destinations. Any necessary confidential information is stored on the Smarticket server and not within the barcoded sheet, ensuring data security and adherence to company policies, says NSi.

AutoStore 6.0 includes several other new capabilities designed to improve efficiency and collaboration of the document workflow process, including:

  • send to PC—deliver scanned documents directly from an MFD to the customer’s desktop in the fewest possible steps;
  • XML importer—facilitate automatic import of data and documents between systems and applications;
  • MRC PDF compression—decrease PDF file size by up to 80 percent while maintaining content integrity; and
  • data filter—reduce complex scripting through dragging and dropping, so IT administrators can manage metadata to enforce standard date formats, database lookups and validation logic.
