Enfish and KnowledgeTrack merge

With the goal of providing a solution to simplify access and use of both personal and corporate information, Enfish and KnowledgeTrack have merged to form Enfish Corp. And, with Enfish Enterprise, the new company says it’s the first provider to offer a customizable and scalable solution that integrates a user's personal computer with a portal, allowing for the indexing, cross-referencing and display of corporate content in context with knowledge workers' content.

The formation of Enfish Corporation formalizes the previous joint marketing, development and sales efforts between Enfish and KnowledgeTrack. All aspects of the two companies will be absorbed into the new Enfish Corp.

In October 1998, Enfish introduced Tracker Pro, widely acknowledged to be the first personal knowledge management tool on the market. It enabled users to find information no matter how it was created, where it was stored or what it was named. In May 2000, Enfish unveiled Onespace, said to be the first desktop portal that automatically organized information on any PC into a single work space. In July 2001, the company introduced Enfish Personal, an upgrade replacement for Enfish Onespace, and Enfish Find, a PC and Internet search tool.

KnowledgeTrack known for e-infrastructure software for portals, communities and e-business applications.
