Eaton extends contract with Reynolds & Reynolds

Engineering outfit Eaton Corporation (Cleveland), a manufacturer of highly engineered products for the industrial, vehicle, construction, commercial and semiconductor markets, has signed a new contract with Reynolds & Reynolds (Dayton, OH). The four-year deal is reportedly worth several million dollars. Eaton, a current Reynolds customer, makes electrical power distribution and control equipment, truck drive train systems, engine components, hydraulic products, ion implanters and a wide variety of controls. It employs 54,000 employees in 26 countries, at 155 manufacturing sites. "Having the right documents at the right time is critical for us to avoid any business disruptions," said Steve Naklizki, Eaton manager of printing and forms control. Working with Reynolds "has meant $150,000 to $200,000 in cost savings for us over the past three years." Eaton will implement Reynolds' Customer Advantage Internet-based document management offering, which will allow them to track supplies of documents, place orders, and determine their status instantly. The system will make it "even easier to do business with Reynolds and with our own internal customers," Naklizki added.
